Well other than a few drunken hands this past weekend with my friends haven’t played any poker since Wednesday. Taking a little break, as I have been playing a lot while off with my bad back. I haven’t decided yet if i am going to play the HOY tonight or not.
I stayed away from poker completely over the last few days, no reading/writing/playing to speak of, altho I did watch the end of Poker after Dark. Reading up on the blogs this am, this has been mentioned quite a bit but Alan Boston is ….ahhhh…not good tv. LOL. That’s all I will say about that.
This morning I am watching the WPT that aired this weekend, the one that Hachem wins. Negreneau went into the final table as chip leader and in the early going was doing very well, then ran into the ex nfl’er Jim Hanna. Hachem really seems to wear his emotions on his sleeve. I do like Negreneau, and at this table was rooting for him, but I knew the winner before watching. Hachem is a very good player, and altho seems to have somewhat of a fiery temper he seems to be a good guy. He’s had some bad luck since his Main Event win, and its nice to see him win another major.
Read a very good post on Pokerati this am. It was about studying to better your poker career, particularly if you have the goal to be a pro player. I have no illusions of ever going pro. Of course I would love to, but I know that I don’t currently have the skill, the knowledge, and most importantly the correct mindset for it. Anyway go over and check out the post.
