So, as the title of the post goes…..I have restarted P90x, with today being my new day 1. This time with a difference. I am going the rest of the summer booze free. For those of you that know me, you just giggled. Some of you swore and said “Riiiiiiiiight”. Everyone that knows me knows I like my beer, and also have been known to knock back a drink or two of Rye. I don’t drink very often anymore, once or twice a month at poker. But this isn’t about booze, its about discipline. And now its time to put myself to the test.
Why am I restarting?
I am restarting because June was an absolute write off. Mentally I was not in the game, sure I worked out, but workouts were mostly done half hearted. I left too many reps undone, and often cut sets short when they got tough. I cheated here and there on my nutrition, and basically struggled for the whole month. I missed workouts, due to injury or indifference. My results weren’t that bad for the amount of complaining on my blog and how I actually felt most of the month. I want to give this an honest, leave no stone unturned, 100 percent effort challenge. I want to see what I can do if I really commit 100 percent to transforming. I want to be one of those motivating p90x Transformation videos out there on youtube.
I work 7:30 to 4 the rest of the month of July then I have two months of 11:30 til 8 pm. During August and September, I will work out EVERYDAY before work. Most workouts during July will be after work. Nutrition will continue to be Weight Watchers as I enjoy that method of eating. I will count points EVERYDAY, if it goes in my mouth it will be documented.
