Hey guys….technology wise I am not fairing very well. Camera problems and computer problems. My laptop, is essentially a paper weight and now my desktop is not responding at all. I am at work right now and probably shouldn’t be posting from here at all. I took a pic this morning on an old camera, but because of the computer problems I was not be able to post the picture (or post at all) from home. I don’t think the desktop problem is that severe, so I should be able to post again tommorrow, but I am not sure, I ran out of time troubleshooting this morning before work.
Going on a family hike tommorrow in a local provincial park and (camera permitting) hope to take lots of pictures. I will be back to post as soon as tecnology allows!
Hey guys. Another good day in the books, but I am without a camera tonight, so its a 9/10. I had my weekly game of darts with three of my buddies and they were drinking beer and eating chips and I didn’t have one chip or anything but water.
I had a good workout this am and I am staying motivated, and have not been tempted to stray. Things are going pretty good right now.
I hope to have my camera tommorrow. I will talk to you all tommorrow.
Well, today marks the end of week 1 on the RTP program. Here are a few random thoughts through week 1.
-I like the program so far, and although I have never used such short breaks between sets, I am finding the workouts challenging and am enjoying them -can’t say it enough but I am so glad I joined the shreddersphere. People working towards the same goals can/will only lift up eachother to higher levels -although I stuck to plan nutrition wise I may have been a little low on calories a couple days. I will continue to weigh/measure my foods -I thought I would find the posting of daily pictures daunting, but its not too bad. I have always wanted to have a John Stone (look him up) or Adam Walters transformation, and I feel I have just started mine -although I “knew” this, it becomes clearer each day, that the biggest part of a successful transformation is done between your ears, and not in the gym or the kitchen. If you don’t believe you’ll get there, YOU WON’T.
As I think I mentioned earlier, I have been working on visualizing my goals. I am quite a ways were I ultimately want to be. I want to be 175 lbs with a 32-34 inch waist. That is a few missions away, but I will get there. I have made a similar transformation before and I can and will do it again. I turn 37 years old on Dec 31st, 2009, I will do so in the absolute best shape of my life.
Wide grip lat pulldowns 80*20/18/19 reverse lat pulldowns 75*15/15/14 D flat bench 35*20/18/17 d flye 20*18/16/14 CG bench 95*13/12 (this was where I started wanting to leave) skulcrushers 30*17/15 d calf raises 50*20/20/20/20
I woke up in a horrible mood and I didn’t want any part of anything good for me or productive. I went to the gym though, and slowly through out the day snapped out of my funk. Gotta post on the tough days as well as the easy.
Well I am off to the Races! As I have been talking about I joined a new fitness site and am entering their contest which I started today. I was up at 5:05 this am and on the gym floor by 5:35am. I had a great workout, came home had some breakfast, then cooked a few meals for the day and now I am about to go to work.
I am going to do my best to get my workouts in first thing in the am. I work from 11 to 7:30 for the next 6 weeks, and the plan is to get my workouts done by 8 am in order to have time to cook some meals, relax a little bit and not have to rush to work. It will take some getting used to but I will feel so much better about getting the day off to a great start and getting the workout done early. Get it done first thing and I won’t have an excuse to not do it later.
For this contest, there is a daily accountability component, which includes DAILY pics. This keeps you honest, and keeps the motivation high I think. I have not decided if I will be posting the pics to this blog or not, but they are posted internally on the Shreddersphere (the name of the fitness community).
As you can see below I am also trying my hand at VLOG’ing. I won’t be posting everyday to that, but I will be posting them a few times a week. I am determined to make this change in my life, from fat and out of shape and lazy, to fit and healthy. Daily accountability will go along way to meet that end.
Well I am going to be late, I best get moving. Back later today for a daily wrap up.

What’s this ? Posting two days in a row? Can it be?
So today I started the new program I started yesterday. More info on it can be found at www.rtp-book.com. It’s an interesting program, and system and I am going to follow it to a letter for 84 days starting next Monday at the latest, but hopefully sooner. I need to finish through all the documentation for it and get all my ducks in a row.
I will be posting here a lot more often in the weeks and months to come. I do better when I hold myself accountable, and I promise I won’t stop writing or go deleting the blog when I run into a setback. I need to get healthy. I need to put all this back bs behind me once and for all and get healthy. My one reader will have much more to read going forward!
Besides getting to the gym this AM, I also biked to work which is 4km both ways. Not a marathon, but every bit of activity helps. My pedometer says i got just over 10000 steps, I got 8 km of biking to and from work, and I got my weights in. Add in I had a good day of eating, and its a great day.
