Today is the first full slate of games in the NFL and I have 12 hours of football to watch today! Wooo!
12 hours in front of the tv is not very good on the body so I will mix it up by doing some exercises throughout the day. Some stuff for my abs, some stretching, some pushups and who knows what else. I went for a 5000 step walk earlier today with my wife.
I think I mentioned a couple days ago that a bought a pair of Perfect Pushups pushup bars the other night, and I am likely going to by the Perfect Pullup bar as well. Their website is here. My pushups suffer because of my wonky right shoulder but I am working hard to rehab my right shoulder on my own with my resistance bands, using exercises I learned from my physio therapist. I haven’t been able to do a pullup in years, but 10 years ago when I was in the 175 range I could do sets of ten. I will get back there, it may take me a bit, but I will get back there.
I am taking a long range look at my goals and will be working on them/finalizing them in the next couple days. I foresee myself staying at home for my workouts for an extended period of time, and I am going to set my goals with that in mind. Working out at home doesn’t mean that I have to settle though, and I am going to still set aggressive but realistic goals. I will work on them today, and maybe post them later today or tommorrow.
