Christmas Eve

Well, Christmas Eve already. Most of my friends have to work today, and I would to if it wasn’t for the back/neck stuff. I am going to suffer when its time to go back full time, its been so long since I worked full days.

We got a pile of rain last night, raining so hard at one point that it woke me up! We had a a foot and a half of snow on the ground, so it took some of that away but also added that dirty look to it. It just looks messy everywhere. Looking out the window there is a huge puddle at the end of my driveway, hopefully the water on the roads is able to get to drainages before freezing again.

Tonight my family goes to my mom’s for supper, then to church for xmas eve service, then to my mother in laws tomorrow. It’s only about a 45 min drive to wife’s moms, and hopefully the roads are not froze over when we go. Big meal down there of about 10-13 I think.

My kids are pretty riled up, waiting to open there presents. I remember what it was like when I was a kid, I am sure today is going to be a long day for them, hehe. Well best go help the boss with the dishes, and figure out if I need to trek out to the malls for a last minute gift.

Getting close to crunchtime…..

…..for anyone not done their Xmas shopping. Luckily, for once I am done early.

Not a lot going on, getting ready to go to physio. Aside from being a little bit achy, and a minor head ache, I don’t feel too bad today.

My oldest daughter auditioned for and made a talent show at school. She is very into acting, singing and music and I hope that she can keep it up because it can do nothing but help her confidence to continue with these things. I surely couldn’t have done it at her age. Actually in grade 6 I passed out cold and got a concussion by hitting my head on a desk and then the floor having to sing in front of a class (with classmates). Without some rye in me, am not much of a public speaker…lol

Christmas shopping and other stuff

Well looks like I am going to have some time to write again, since the doctor has me off work again for a bit. I am going to be busy with physio and massage therapy appointments but that will only take up an hour or two a day. So, I will try to get the writing going again.

Yesterday my buddy and I went out and for the most part finished up our xmas shopping. I have it pretty easy in that I only have to buy for the wife for the most part although I do in fact always buy a little something for the kids from me as well. I got my wife what she asked for and also threw in a couple audibles and got her something to surprise her. I think she’ll be pleased.

We were supposed to be hit with a major storm starting today but it now looks like a little bit of snow followed by rain. I hope that we don’t get too much rain because once it freezes again what a mess that will be!

Back and neck have been pretty sore but I got some new pills to try and some pain killers for when its really bad. I am not a pill taker, so I will make the painkillers last as long as I can and only take them when absolutely need to. It is very important that I continue to eat better and get what exercise I can to keep dropping weight. I am back in the 220′s after being real close to 240 a few weeks ago. Every pound dropped will help.
