Well, plans have changed, things have come up, and I have decided to step things up a little early.
As things stand right now, I am about 65 days into a Power 90- Power 90 Master series and a small part of Insanity thrown in. I also did 40 days of Power 90 earlier this winter. Things have been going along nicely, and I am improving in the execution of the exercises. The biggest problem I had with Power 90 was the fact that day after day of doing the same 2 -4 workouts I was getting bored. By day 21 I was doing the 3-4 workouts, and by day 40 I was doing the Master series workouts. I almost said the heck with it numerous times and started P90x over the last 3 weeks, but then talked myself out of it. The object of doing the Power 90 workouts was ALWAYS to get myself ready for P90x. 60 days ago I took the fit test and past all of it but the pullups. I have been doing the modified pulldowns with the resistance bands for 6 weeks now.
After humming and hawing for over a week, whether to join the Burn the Fat Summer Challenge I took the plunge and joined this am on the last day you could enter. I am in a facebook weight loss challenge starting tomorrow run by Seth. So with these two things starting up I thought well, what the hell, lets give it my absolute best shot. I have been doing near p90x workouts for a few weeks anyway, with doubling up on some of the Power 90/MS/Insanity workouts anyway. Let’s go full barrel and get this done.
Am i biting off more than I can chew? I don’t think so. Is it going to be perfect? Nope. I may get sick. I may go camping. “Life” may get in the way. But I can promise you this, I will give P90x every ounce I got (safely of course) over the next 90 days. As Tony says “do your best and forget the rest”.
