Brief Hiatus continues….

Well I still haven’t played online since last Tuesday, and I am not sure how long it will continue. May play the Mookie tonight I may not. Don’t know.

Have been reading thru the blogs this morning, and am sorry to see, but not all that surprised to see that CC, is done at Pokerworks. One by one, the paid bloggers left the site, and I don’t pretend to have ANY idea why they left, I assume the UIGEA is the biggest part of it. He is heading back to his original home so be sure to check him out.

I watched PAD this morning from Tuesday night, and Helmuth was at his whiny, pain in the ass, stealing all the tv time best. He’s good at what he does, draw attention to himself. I can’t stand him. You see Ivey and Ferguson sitting next to him not saying a thing. And him sooking, whining, crying and stuff. Some people will argue Ferguson is not good tv, and Helmuth is. Well, I could do without not watching him again. Tired of his foolishness. Rant over.

All for now, if I decide to play the Mookie tonight, or Riverchasers tommorrow I will live blog em.

Missed signing in for the HOY by seconds…..

Was watching High Stakes Poker tonight and kinda forgot to sign up for the HOY and missed it by litterally seconds…….BLAST.

Tonight was the first episode of the 500,000 buy in on HSP and it was very intriguing to watch in my opinion. Huge pots, the richest guy at the table playing with no fear and catching cards (Cirque de Soleil founder Guy Laliberte) and some of the best cash game players in the world. Can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Played in a drunken fun home game this past friday night. A tonne of fun, and I don’t remember a whole lot of details. I know in the tourney I went from making a nice bluff to become chip leader to being out within an orbit in the tourney, and then splashed around chips in a dealers choice cash game. It was a lot of fun as always and will quench my live game jones’n for a couple weeks til the next LPT game.

Online I don’t feel like playing at all, and I have been running horribly, playing bad (chasing lost money) and getting just rediculous beat after ridiculous beat. Outside of playing in the blogger tourneys on FTP, I am taking a break. Maybe a couple days, a week, I dunno.

Next up the Mookie.

No live blogging tonight

Well attempted to play the mookie tonight against my better judgement as I have felt like hell the past two days. I have been a little too snug in these things, and I thought well “lets see some more flops early”. Had QQ 5 hands in on an AKx board. check check (i had bet 105 pre) on flop. I bet the turn took it down. It would be the only hand I won. I saw a couple flops, crippled myself early and then in a pot of 800 ish with me only having 1400 left I pushed my AK into 99, 9 on turn and I am done 30 hands in.

So tonight continues the BBT2 and I am hoping to rebound from my brain fart at the HOY and continue my tight aggressive play. I have made 3 of 4 final tables of the Mookie’s I have played in 2007 and I hope to get back there after my dismal showing last week at the Mookie.

Played a little today but nothing overly excited. I am just going thru the motions at the cash tables online of late so I am thinking as I said yesterday maybe that signals time to step away for a short time. I played quite a bit while off, and sometimes I get bored, and I definately get frustrated by getting donked, so maybe its best I step back for a bit. I certainly have lots to read, and I have lots of wholes in my poker knowledge to fill. I enjoy studying the game and I am going to put my focus there for a bit.

I am jones’n to play some live, and I may try and get in a game this weekend. I will see if the crew is up to playing a game this weekend. We’ll see.

Must take my kids to get some teeth rotting candy, I will be back to live blog my Tourney tonight at the Mookie.
