I never know what to write in these biographies…but here goes!

My name is Shane Leighton, I am a 34 year old, married father of two. I have a trillion and two interests and basically this site is my spot to talk about them!

All my life I have loved writing, starting in grade school writing short stories with my classmates as the stars, and each morning I would come to school with the latest chapter and my friends would all want to see what happened in the latest installment. Moving on into Junior High, I started writing poetry/song lyrics, writing nearly 300 songs over the years. Less than 10 people have seen 95 percent of what I have ever written, and I even turned down getting some of my works published in university when my creative writing professor showed some of my works to a publisher friend in New York City.

In the last ten years, with instant messenger and email, I find that my writing has really suffered, in terms of grammar and sentence structure etc. While the posts on this blog goes back 6 years, this is about a quarter of the blog posts I have actually written over the years.

As I was saying at the beginning I have a tonne of interests, including reading, writing, fitness, poker, hiking, sports, technology, the internet, computers, movies, to name just a few! I have so many interests, and so many things I like to write about I actually keep no less than 5 blogs on the go, with all those posts on my various blogs posted here.
